Lakemba Ladies Lounge

The Lakemba Ladies Lounge is held each Thursday at the Cottage during school terms between 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. The friendly and welcoming environment at the Cottage provides the perfect space for women to come together, to socialise and to try a new activity.

Every month the Ladies Lounge focuses on a new activity with the women volunteering their time, skills and knowledge with others. Some of the activities have included cooking and cake decorating, beauty care, card making, henna design, beading, embroidery, macrame, massage and facials. There is something different every month and we prepare the Program three months in advance

Women of any age and cultural background are welcome to join the Lakemba Ladies Lounge. The Lounge also hosts regular events and celebrations for example, on International Women's Day, the end of term, Community Harmony Day, at Eid or Christmas.

The Lakemba Ladies Lounge also invites regular Guest Speakers to present information on subjects identified by the participants.

There is no cost to attend the Lakemba Ladies Lounge. There is no child minding available, but children are welcome if supervised by their parent or carer.
