CKE Research Incubator: Sustainability and caring

  • The annual Carer Knowledge Exchange Research Incubator: Sustainability and caring will take place online over several sessions from Tuesday 28 to Thursday 30 May 2024.


    The event will be delivered in a series of two-hour online sessions and aims to foster collaboration and advancement in Australian carer-related research.


    This year’s Research Incubator will explore sustainability perspectives on caring, applying concepts of social, economic, and environmental sustainability to the fields of carer-related policy, research, and practice. 


    Researchers, policy makers, practitioners and carers are invited to attend to share their knowledge and learn from each other.

     

    Program:


    Day one | Tuesday 28 May 2024 | Sustainable carer support 

    10am – 12pm AEST


    •   Session 1: Culturally responsive approaches to supporting carers’ wellbeing (Panel Discussion)

    •   Session 2: Innovative carer-led approaches in research, policy, and practice (Symposium)

     

    Day two | Wednesday 29 May 2024 | Financial sustainability for carers

    11am – 1pm AEST


    •   Session 1: Building the evidence base on carer finances (Symposium)

    •   Session 2: What does financial wellbeing look like for carers? (Workshop)

     

    Day three | Thursday 30 MAY 2024 | Sustainable carer policy environment

    1pm – 3pm AEST


    •   Session 1: Informing emerging carer policy (Consultation)

    •   Session 2: Where to next for the Carer Knowledge Exchange? (Panel Discussion)
