The Multicultural Network Inc. (TMN) projects and programs focus on providing support and resources to communities, projects, services and networks in South West Sydney. To ensure capacity building, TMN first identifies the needs and emerging issues of the diverse communities in South West Sydney, then facilitates the implementation of strategies to address these.

TMN currently manages five projects that provide services and support to empower and strengthen the multicultural communities of South West Sydney.

SWS Multicultural Access Project (SWS MAP)

The South West Sydney Multicultural Access Project (SWS MAP) provides support, resources and training to aged care service providers in order to enhance access to services for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

South West Sydney Sector Support & Development Officer (SWS SSDO)

The South West Sydney Sector Support & Development Officer (SWS SSDO) contributes towards the implementation of best practice in the aged sector by providing training and sharing resources, research, findings and new developments with services to inform their strategies.

Multicultural Access & Referral Service (MARS)

The Multicultural Access & Referral Service (MARS) works in partnership with ethno-specific organisations to provide one-off culturally appropriate advice, information, and support to link the frail aged and their carers from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds with ageing services.

Zero Barriers

Zero Barriers is a business and service support project developed by The Multicultural Network that aims to eliminate barriers for people with disability when shopping, using services or participating in activities in their local communities. The project works across 12 NSW partner council LGAs, to educate and support businesses and services to become more inclusive and promotes them for being disability friendly. 

Multicultural Community Development Project (MCDP)

The Multicultural Community Development Project (MCDP) provides early intervention support, activities and resources to culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) families, in particular parents with children aged 0 to 12 years old and services in the Bankstown local government area with the goal to enhance community resilience and capacity.
