Course Description:
This course will consider the contemporary, wellness focussed
approach to risk and duty of care in relation to older people.
The course will cover:
o What is positive risk taking?
o What is your Duty of Care?
o Supporting informed decision-making
o Making defensible decisions (importance of documentation)
Participants will receive useful resources as part of the training
Target Audience:
All staff and volunteers working in aged care services including
in-home including Team leaders, Co-ordinators, field staff and
volunteers
